Habits That Lead To A Peaceful Life

Updated: Mar 12, 2021

Sometimes our life seems upside down when everything is going all wrong. Tolerance for others is approaching the limit. There is a saying in society, 'I have had all I can stand and I cannot stand anymore' . Trying to live the good life, providing for yourself and others puts a load of #pressure on you. Often, not able to hold it all together and just want to scream, words like 'help me' or 'let me out'. Just regular life tends to #destroy your internal peace; that is #peace of-#mind.

These are steps to take right now for #true #peace, some are outlined in the Scriptures. This will help bring #sanity in your world of perpetual #conflict. It's times to rise above your #circumstances.

Peace List

Step 1

On a sheet of paper or Word document, write down all the #peace #killers in your life, such as, #people, things, #worry, #fears, etc. Draw a vertical line and put on left side, #Peace #Killer and on the right peace #Restorer. List actions that need to happen to restore your peace. List fears, worries and events which has taken your peace away.

Step 2

Go to a quiet private place, bathroom, closet, your hideout. you may need to leave your home, may need to go outside if weather permits. Go to a park, where you do not know anyone.

Step 3

As you review your list, circle the top 3 peace killers. Sit or stand in a comfortable position. Close your eyes, inhale, exhales slowly 3-5 times; relax your self. Just stay calm for a few seconds, thinking about your favorite place to be. By faith, meditate on the following words from the foremost expert on human #consciousness - Jesus Christ.

Matthews 11:28 [TLB] "28 Come to me and I will give you rest—all of you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear my yoke—for it fits perfectly—and let me teach you; for I am gentle and humble, and you shall find #peace {emphasis mine)for your souls;.." This means, you cannot help yourself, you must turn your heart, thoughts and emotions over to trusting in God through the person of Jesus Christ. He has the power to turn your upside down life around and give you His #peace of #mind. Talk to Jesus about your peace killers one by one. Stay focused and believe the Jesus hears your call for help.

St Paul continues on a similar line of thought in his letter - "Philippians 4:6-7 [TLB] "6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. 7 If you do this, you will #experience #God’s #peace, which is far more #wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your #thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you #trust in Christ Jesus." Prayer is a direct way of communicating with God and prayer is the most essential component of maintaining peace of mind. Listen to #prayers at #praytube.net.
